About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in providing patient-centric care in a pharmacy environment. This position emphasizes customer interaction and relationship building, while also offering a pathway to becoming a certified pharmacy technician through a recognized apprenticeship program. You will assist pharmacists in various pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, while also engaging with customers to enhance their experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
  • Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
  • Register all related sales on the assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
  • Assist in inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
  • Assist pharmacists in administering clinical services as required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly Pharmacy Department.
