About the position

The AWS Organizations team is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) to lead the development and operation of next-generation features and solutions for multi-account management within AWS. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams and AWS services to innovate and enhance customer experiences while managing large-scale real-time systems. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in software development and team mentorship, driving strategic vision and tactical execution in product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, program managers, and senior leaders.
  • Design, build, and operate high-performing, reliable distributed systems at a global scale.
  • Lead software development efforts, including design reviews and code reviews.
  • Innovate on architecture and drive feature design details to enhance resilience and scalability.
  • Build operational excellence into product development practices.
  • Mentor and grow the engineering team to deliver the product roadmap.
