Operational Excellence Manager, Warehouse & Route Optimization - Remote id-31206

About the position

The Operational Excellence (OpX) Business Process Manager, Warehouse and Route Optimization, is a critical role in Refreshment Services. This position is responsible for driving the day-to-day delivery of warehouse and route optimization initiatives and business process improvements that support all functions within our warehouse environment. This position will interact with all levels of the organization and supports center-led strategies with decentralized execution across the North America operations. This position will report to the Director, Operational Excellence - Fleet and Warehouse.

In this role, the manager will be responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of our Win in the Warehouse framework, which includes product purchasing, inventorying, receiving, picking, and loading for distribution. The manager will identify and document existing warehouse processes, analyze gaps, and present to stakeholders the roadmap and level of effort necessary to implement a scalable desired state. Additionally, the manager will lead the pilot, training, and rollout of new route optimization tools and warehouse technology, owning routine evaluation and continuous improvement of these tools.

Collaboration is key, as the manager will work with OpX teammates to identify key performance indicators that drive improvement in warehouse operations and route design, ensuring systems are in place to properly measure these indicators. The role also involves driving inventory cost reduction by analyzing product handling, storage, and distribution practices to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and support the Labor Management Process (LMP) in the warehouse. Furthermore, the manager will advise on the design of warehouse processes, layout, and infrastructure, and will be responsible for educating, aligning, and building consensus for improvement strategies with Directors of Operations, front-line management, and OpX teammates by providing data and reporting support. When needed, the manager will assess change readiness and prepare plans for helping operators manage through change.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management or related operations.
  • Experience within field-service and route-based organization preferred.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, work in a dynamic fluid environment and effectively cope with change.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning, financial and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong and dynamic presentation and communication skills with ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Exhibit an aptitude and track record of being able to influence others without formal authority.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills needed to build and implement insight-based programs.
  • Self-starter, confident in his/her abilities, self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
